Artist Statement
Every morning I wake up empowered by the person that I’ve become and inspired by the person that I have yet to be. I compete with no one but myself, so I can experience the pleasure of being Masha Schwartz.
I’ve been told that I have great ideas every 6 hours and if I could get paid for all of them I would be a millionaire. To not lose all of these great ideas, I draw and create obsessively every day filling my sketchbooks and notebooks with conceptualizations, business ideas and exploratory drawings. Over the years my art skills have developed in a natural progression giving me the ability to freely use a number of distinct styles, approaches and mediums. I primarily work with acrylic on canvas, but I also create murals and I’m well versed in other mediums including watercolors, ink, oils, photography, and digital art.
